Sailing with the spirit.
Lay down your oars and put up the sails.
Strengthening your strengths, probing your possibilities.
Sailboat coaching (one of the types of coaching which I offer) has as its guiding principles that one can use a power at work within us to do abundantly far more than we could ever ask or imagine (Paraphrasing Eph. 3:21). Sailboat coaching tend to focus not on ones own situation, resources, or limitations but rather on a power with in us - a spirit (a pneuma). Sailing coaching engages in an intimate partnership of body, mind and spirit (pneuma).
Let me help you chart your journey.
At this point actual sailing is not part of the program. It is a metaphor for capturing a power within us like a sail captures the power of wind.

“Sailboat Coaching” allows us to look inward for ones potential in a new light and offer new routes for exploring ideas in a metaphorical way.
Its not about learning to actually sail a boat but uses a sailboat as a metaphor for catching that invisible power within you, spirit/wind, to move you in a new direction to a new journey.
Metaphors help us grow and strive to be who we are meant to be. Our capacity to reason enables us to reflect on the use of reason and to critically examine our beliefs about ourselves and the world we inhabit, enabling us to catch even the slightest breeze which can propel us to our destination.
I’m excited to be able to assist those who are looking to improve their personal or business life by providing a time of reflection and discussion about improving their ability and attitude.
I’m not with I58 anymore.

Coaching/non pastoral pastoral counseling
Jungian/Rogersian approach. Helping people get in touch with their inner self/spirit/ voice. Conscience. The voice within. Still small voice. The phrase is often used metaphorically to describe a person's conscience, intuition, or inner voice of guidance. Like a sailor can sense that small breeze that can be just enough to power his boat to its destination. Positive counseling. Sailboat coaching. Learning how to capture that invisible force in and around us to move us toward our destination/goal.
Wind is something you feel but can’t really see.
Sailboat Coaching, as metaphor, can help you:
Reflect more creatively.
Think more critically.
Act more consistently.
…to achieve your professional and personal goals.
Sailing as a metaphor for life
One of the ways I do life coaching is by using sailing as a metaphor for life. Sailboat coaching provides you with a way to define your mission, work on a strategy, set goals and a plan to better for achieving your objective. Using sailing as a metaphor for life works well because it naturally mirrors how life unfolds: purpose, direction, milestones, and daily adjustments. Mission Your mission is the reason you leave the harbor: To live a meaningful, balanced life that is growing in wisdom, contributing to others, and navigating change with courage and integrity. This doesn’t change with the weather. It’s your true north. Strategy Your strategy is your way of sailing, not your exact route. Sail deliberately rather than drift—adjusting to conditions, using both discipline and flexibility, and choosing courses that align with long-term purpose rather than short-term comfort. Key strategic ideas in sailing terms: You can’t control the wind, only your sails Sometimes you tac...
